1. Welcome to The Redneck World Records

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of The Redneck World Records website, services, and platform (collectively, the "Service"), operated by The Redneck World Records ("we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Account Registration

To submit records, vote, or comment, you must create an account using a supported sign-in provider (Google or Facebook). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activity under it.

4. User-Submitted Content

You retain ownership of content you submit ("User Content"), including photos, videos, descriptions, and record details. By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, modify, and distribute your User Content in connection with the Service, including promotional materials and our annual publication (the "Redneck World Records Book").

You represent and warrant that:

• You own or have the rights to submit the User Content.
• Your User Content does not infringe any third party's intellectual property or privacy rights.
• All persons depicted in your submissions have given their consent to appear.
• Your User Content is accurate and not misleading about the record being claimed.

5. Community Standards

The Redneck World Records celebrates backyard ingenuity with respect and good humor. All content must comply with our Submission Guidelines. In particular:

• All content must be family-friendly — safe for all ages.
• Content must celebrate achievement, not mock individuals or groups.
• No hate speech, harassment, threats, or discriminatory content.
• No sexually explicit or gratuitously violent material.
• No promotion of illegal activities or dangerous stunts performed without safety precautions.

We reserve the right to remove any content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these standards, at our sole discretion.

6. Moderation

All submissions are reviewed by our moderation team before being published. We may approve, reject, or request modifications to any submission. Inclusion in the Hall of Fame or the annual book is at our editorial discretion.

7. Voting

The Service uses an upvote-only voting system. Vote manipulation — including creating multiple accounts to inflate votes, using automated tools, or coordinating vote brigades — is prohibited and may result in account suspension.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, branding, ranking algorithms, and original content, is owned by The Redneck World Records and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our proprietary content without written permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

We do not endorse, verify, or guarantee the safety or accuracy of any user-submitted records. Attempting to replicate records shown on this platform is done at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Redneck World Records and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to personal injury resulting from attempting to replicate any record.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
